Dear Friend of Sedbergh School,

Welcome to the website for Washingborough Hall Hotel, thank you for visiting and browsing our website. My wife Lucy and I are delighted to have advertised in the first edition of the Sedbergh Association Times as the school approaches its 500 year anniversary. We hope to be able to support the publication further in the future. 

Our youngest daughter, Ruby, joined Year 12 of Lupton House in September 2023, some 31 years after I left Hart House after a happy 5 years. The Sedbergh School we visit now has evolved into an outstanding environment for nurturing and educating our young people. Much has changed in the intervening years but then in the same breath, little has changed, for the hills are very much still stood around us. The rounded education, the ethos, friendliness, camaraderie, the sense of adventure and a desire to have fun are better than ever. It’s proving to be a wonderfully fulfilling experience to be closely re-acquainted with the school  for another two years.
