The Most Splendid Festival in the World
Europe’s biggest Steampunk Festival returns to Lincoln over the second weekend in September seeing the city’s cobbled streets transformed. The convention, celebrating the steam-powered world in the late 19th century, brings costumes, live entertainment and a Steampunk market to Castle Square in this unique, must-see festival.
Enjoy the free Steampunk themed art exhibition at The Collection and the Bazaar Eclectica market held in Castle Square over the weekend.

Lincoln Book Festival: History at its Heart
Some of the world’s top historians and authors will come to Lincoln this month as part of Lincoln’s leading literary arts event: Lincoln Book Festival.
The festival will be surrounded by The Collection’s displays of archaeology and fine art as the museum hosts six evenings of talks from leading authors around the theme of history. Topics including Richard III, the war in Afghanistan and women’s history will be covered by experts in their fields and their books will be on offer to purchase on the night.

Coming up in Lincoln
October is jam packed with things to do in Lincoln. The month kicks off with Lincolnshire Day followed by Lincoln Comedy Festival. The Frequency Festival of Digital Culture is also not to be missed and it launches with an International Food Fair. The last weekend of the month is another celebration of Lincolnshire as the Sausage Festival returns to Lincoln Castle and to celebrate Halloween, experience the new spooky tour with Tour Lincoln.
This, along with Lincoln’s great offer of shopping, attractions, food and drink, means there is plenty happening in Lincoln through October.
