Edward & Lucy Herring are delighted to report the purchase of Washingborough Hall Hotel on 30th October 2008.
“Following the sale of our last business The Red Lion Inn at Redbourne in North Lincolnshire, in September 2005 we have been on the look out for another challenge. We plan to develop Washingborough Hall into the finest country house hotel in the area, specialising as a high quality conference facility, an intimate private function venue and offering a bespoke personal wedding venue and service. The core business of running a successful restuarant operation, including the provision of a more casual dining experience to cater for local diners and hotel rooms will continue to develop.”
To reflect the changing economic times we find ourselves in we have re-defined our food offering to be ‘Traditional British’ in style - moving away from the ‘Modern European’ Fine Dining experience. Our skilled, charming and effervescent Head Chef Dan Wallis remains firmly at the helm supported by his excellent team of Lloyd, Sue and Peter.
We are currently in the process of installing flat screen TV’s into all of the bedrooms and we intend to renew the majority of the bathroom suites in 2009. Further detailed plans for a comprehensive refurbishment of the Wedgwood Restaurant, the Residents Lounge and a new Bar are currently being finalised. Rumour has it the reception desk will also be on the move. Watch this space!
