A Lincolnshire couple born and bred, Edward and Lucy Herring, own and run Washingborough Hall Hotel in addition to juggling the needs of their three young daughters. They pride themselves on their friendly, hands-on approach and have proudly assembled a team of like minded people. They have overseen sympathetic renovations and modernisation works since acquiring the business in October 2008. They have successfully added their own personal touch to the elegant ambience of this historic building and have successfully established the hotel as one of Lincolnshire’s finest.
Lucy, with her background as a successful Cordon Bleu cook, having trained at the Tante Marie Culinary Academy http://www.tantemarie.co.uk/ (part owned by Gordon Ramsay Holdings) now works closely with Head Chef, Dan Wallis to create a traditional British menu using the highest quality fresh produce, locally sourced from the farms and fields of Lincolnshire.
Edward’s background is in the licensed and leisure industry and can mainly be found in the office or adding some pristine stripes to the lawns in the garden ! His passion for fine food and wine is is tempered only by his fixation with wood burning stoves.
